Situated in the remote Finnish Taiga Forests close to the Russian border.

Taken in mid-summer, at this latitude, there was enough light to take photographs throughout the night. This particular photograph was taken in a swamp.

This cub was born during the previous winter and is only a few months old. They are very playful and endearing to watch but mother was never far away and kept a careful watch.

Spending 4 nights in various hides with these magnificent animals was a truly unforgettable experience.
